Weigh in was not a disappointment this week.
Although I only lost 0.6 I am thrilled with this number considering how sore I am. My eating this past week most definitely could have been better, but I worked out several times and am very sore. I will take my tiny loss and be excited. lol!!! I am hoping that next week I will be below my original start weight of 188 though. So Shooting for at least a two pound loss this week. The soreness should start slowing down this next week.
On a different note: For all my runner friends, What do you know about Goop? A lady at my work, who runs several marathons a year, suggested it to me today. Also Energy blocks? I think she called them. I need something to give me that extra boost for future running events. Any ideas on what could help?

ReplyDeleteA little about Goop: Goop is a flavored goo that comes in packets that a lot of marathoners take while racing. It is a carb/calorie rich substance to supply your body with calories during prolonged activity (2 hours). It tastes like crap. Energy blocks accomplish the same thing, just in a solid form.
Unless you're running extreme distances, you *probably* don't need something as intense as goo (especially if you're trying to burn the calories). If you're feeling really weak, maybe try a few sips of an energy drink 10-15 minutes before your workout.
Keep me posted on how C25K goes for you. I started running through that plan last year and loved it. I'm training for a 10k and 10 miler now.
